Camping site information

Bushbuck is one of our smaller camping sites, with enough space for 3 vehicles. As you enter, you will find the main area of the camp on your left. Here, two vehicles will fit easily. To your right, you will see a smaller flat area closer to the water, where a third vehicle can park/camp. A maximum of 6 adults can camp here. Only one group can book at a time.

This camp is right next to one of the three dams on the farm. This creates a perfect spot for swimming, fishing, and kayaking/canoeing (please bring your own kayak/canoe). The boma with a fire pit, is situated towards the far end of the camp, overlooking the dam.

At the ablution you will find a toilet and shower, both in separate cubicles. The kitchenette is next to the boma, where you will find the wash-up area.

Both the shower and toilet are in separate cubicles, at the back of the kitchenette. Although there is no electricity at the camp, there is a donkey/wood-fired water heater for those lovely hot showers, as well as for the kitchenette. Limited wood is provided and included in the rate. More wood can be purchased on the farm. We also sell ice at reception.

There are solar powered lights in the kitchenette and ablution.

  • This is the only camp with relatively good signal, but no electricity.

  • We recommend a 4x4 vehicle, but you will definitely manage with a 2x4 high clearance vehicle. A low clearance vehicle will not be able to reach the camp.

  • Click on the ‘Book now’ button. Complete and submit the form. Someone from our team will send you an email, informing you on the availability. Should the camp be available, you will receive an invoice. To secure your booking, you will be required to pay the deposit (50%) within 7 days of receiving your invoice.

  • If you cancel your booking more than 1 month before arrival, we will refund 50% of the deposit.

    If you cancel your booking more than 2 weeks (and less than 1 month) before arrival, we will refund 25% of the deposit.

    If you cancel your booking less than 2 weeks before arrival, we will not refund your deposit.
